Coinote Services was formed as a proper trading company in January 1990.

I have been collecting coins since I was four years old, that's over forty five years ago. I initially started trading in the mid 1980's by selling my surplus coinage at car boot sales and found that I enjoyed the selling and meeting other collectors around my home area.

I next graduated to markets by becoming a licensed market trader, all of this being on a part time basis as I was still at sea at the time as a Chief Engineer.

I still trade at least three days a week on two different local markets. These are Stockton-on-Tees Flea Market on Wednesday and Saturday and Ripon Market on Thursday. I also trade on behalf of the company at various collectors fairs and coin fairs countrywide.

Our company watchwords are honesty and fairness at all times.

I still enjoy the personal contact with collectors and try to obtain for them anything that they are looking for, as long as it is at a reasonable and affordable price. Together with another company we have branched out into the areas of hammered and Roman coins, and as well as being listed in our catalogue section, images of these can be provided either on the site or by e-mail for our clients.

Over the years that we have been trading we have tried to add good value items to the company's stock range by dealing direct with the makers of lots of different items and for the most part we have been successful in this.
